JZ Knight and UFOs

This photo is from JZ Knight's autobiography.  During her senior year of high school, she created a dance where she was 'the Spirit of Light.'  As a teenager, there was one occasion when she observed a UFO. 

In her 1987 autobiography A State of Mind, My Story, two UFO sightings are described by JZ Knight.  The first sighting occurred during her teenage years while her family was residing in Artesia, New Mexico.  She was at a slumber party at her friend Janet's house at the time of the incident.

Janet had been standing next to the window when "the whole side of her face lit up with an eerie red glow."  Janet turned and looked out the window.  She said, "God, that's weird!"

We all jumped up and ran to the window.  I got there first.  I could not believe what I saw.

"That thang gives me the heebie-jeebies.  What is that?" Janet asked.

It was about one-thirty in the morning, and the crescent moon was sitting low off to the west.  The house two lots away from Kelly's, across the vacant lot, had a huge orange ball twice the size of the house suspended about a hundred feet above the rooftop.  It was so bloody orange that everything, even the house further down, was bathed in an eerie orange glow.  I just kept staring at it, trying to make out what it was.  It didn't make a sound; it just hung there, suspended in midair.  I thought it looked like a planet of some sort for it seemed to have craters all over it.  Then, all of a sudden, blinding flashes started coming off of it.  I panicked and ran from the window to the bed.  I started praying.

Soon thereafter, Janet said: "The thing is gone."  JZ recalled, "All of us at that slumber party experienced the strange event."

A second UFO sighting occurred circa 1987 during JZ's visit to the home of a woman who was pastor of a Spiritualist church.  JZ had contacted the church after Ramtha first appeared to her: "I wondered if others had had similar experiences and, if so, what they had done about it."  During the intervals when he communicates through the body of his channeler JZ Knight, Ramtha has described himself as an 'enigma' and 'ascended master' — a human being who has made the transition to life in the ascended realm of human existence.

When showing her Ouija board to JZ and her husband Jeremy, Pastor Lorraine Graham put her hand on the board and the planchette began spelling messages.  When the word "outside" was spelled, Lorraine jumped up and said, "I feel we should go outside . . . right now."

We all got up and went outside, but frankly I was exasperated.  Night had fallen, and the stars were unusually bright in the clear sky.  We walked over to the car and leaned on it.  Lorraine told us to look up.  I began to shiver from the cool night air.  Just about the time I was thinking this was a waste of time, from out of the northern sky came a huge ball of light.  It moved very fast and was only a few hundred feet in the air.  I was astonished.  I had seen comets and falling stars before, and this was neither.  Just as I was regaining my wits, another whizzed by over my head, only this time it divided and became eight smaller balls of light.  There was absolutely no sound accompanying this display.

Jeremy was very excited.  "My God, I've never seen anything like this.  What are they?"  I just stood there in awe of what I was seeing.

"I would say they are saluting you, JZ," Lorraine said softly.

I shook my head.  "Oh, no . . . no."

The eight balls of light disappeared over the treetops.  We stood transfixed by the heavenly light show.  Finally, I moved away from them and sat down on the front porch.  I was overcome by the experience, yet desperately trying to deny that it had happened.  Jeremy opened the car door and turned on the radio.  A disc jockey's voice was talking excitedly.

"Yes, I heard what you're saying, sir.  Well, there are high-level aircraft.  No sound?  Hmm, that's interesting.  Perhaps we'll have some information later on in the program.  Yes, all right.  Thanks for calling in, and stay tuned.  Well folks, our switchboard is lighting up with reports of unidentified flying objects."

JZ Knight (birthname Judith Darlene Hampton) was born at St. Mary's Hospital in Roswell, New Mexico on March 16, 1946.  The Roswell Daily Record reported on July 8, 1947 "RAAF Captures Flying Saucer on Ranch in Roswell Region".  The event is now known as The Roswell Incident.

9/21/14 Update: This month in Ramtha's School of Enlightenment Newsletter is a report entitled "JZ Knight and others witness and photograph UFOs".  JZ reported seeing a UFO in Italy: "I can tell you that on a bright and cloudy morning I was sitting with Rebecca Capezio outside our house on a hill overlooking Sportilia and the Italy event venue.  I had been studying a particular cloud and noting all the jets taking off from the distant airport in Bologna, rising in the sky with vapor trails left in the markings of the sky.  I saw a flash and saw a UFO traveling above one of the jets but going in the opposite direction, leaving NO VAPOR TRAIL." 

 

A Master's Reflection on the History of Humanity

JZ Knight began 'channeling' Ramtha more than 35 years ago.  A Master’s Reflection on the History of Humanity is a two-volume anthology of transcripts of Ramtha lectures.  Published in 2001, Part I is subtitled Human Civilization — Origins and Evolution; and published in 2002, Part II is subtitled Rediscovering the Pearl of Ancient Wisdom.  This article presents a selection of excerpts from these two books. 

There are instances of Ramtha's "verbiage contradiction" and "I will manifest all your fears" philosophizing in the book.  One example in Part I comes after Ramtha is quoted as saying:

I am not any sexual being.  I never had it in my own life, and I had a hundred and ten children.  Imagine that.  All the sexual people gave me their children.

Ramtha later said —

Is there a war of valued life?  Yes, it is called AIDS.  Are crossovers susceptible to this?  Yes.  Why?  Because they do not produce life.

In the paragraph preceding this statement, Ramtha is quoted:

. . . I am outrageous.  If God ever had a definition, it should be outrageousness.  It shows you the temple that our heart should be following and not what our emotions begged us to be . . .

When considering that some passages show a primitive orientation toward the sexes and sexuality, the reader should remember that Ramtha's Earth life was 35,000 years ago. 

Although there are many parallels between Ramtha's teachings and the transcripts of the channeled readings that came through the hypnotically entranced Edgar Cayce, one variation is that the expression 'Ra Ta' is found in the Cayce transcripts while Ramtha used the expressions 'Ra-Tam' and 'Ra-Ta-Bin' in discourse transcripts included in Part II.

Ramtha's 'Ra-Ta-Bin' is identified in different ways, as you will notice — including "the one who claimed to have built, from Amon-Ra, the pyramids . . ."  Ramtha also mentioned an author who has written about Amon-Ra, author/researcher Zecharia Sitchin: ". . . he got his information not from his imagination but from the 25,000 texts that he found in a tell in Iran, the history of the Gods."
 
If I had the opportunity to interview Ramtha, my question would be how Ramtha's metaphysical perspectives in relation to God have evolved during the period he has been interacting with Earth people in the interims of channeling through JZ Knight; however, a careful study of the numerous lecture recordings could also make evident the answer to this question.  Ramtha reminded in a transcript in Part II that what each person understands as truth is based upon conditions encompassing their own experiences; therefore: "Truth is not about anything I have to say.  Everything I have to say is a dynamic, beautiful philosophy."

I am a being out of time.  I truly am.  I am a being living out a very ancient and remote dream.  So the words that I use are selected from the melting pot of your words that stimulate you, that you can understand, and they are very unsophisticated.  But if I talked to you in my tongue, you would be bewildered.  I am a foreigner in the greatest sense of the word.

And in my time that I was born into, there was a thick cloud cover over the entire earth — it was in a womb of water — just like that which is termed the great planet Venus is today; it is in a womb of water.

  

  

And when they made war with their technology, they ripped open that veil of my times.  And when that veil was ripped open, all of the waters came into that which is termed condensation, and the rains came and the winters came and the ice came.

 

When those scientists came and put all of those wires on my daughter's body — who is a brave woman to do it in front of her school, but she had nothing to hide because the fact is that I am an enigma, and to have it proven to you and to them — to have them verify that there is something extraordinary happening here that is not normal, well, it is me that is not normal.  What they verified, that which I am without saying it, is that which I am.

Most of you have kindred on another level.  They have always waited for you and always loved you and burned the light in the window for you, waiting for you to return home from the wars of making known the unknown.  And if we return home ragged and tattered and torn with a league of army that was not exactly what we started out with, we are always celebrated in our return.

Did you know in our mind tomorrow morning we can eliminate all the warlords in our life and indeed we can even eliminate all the councils of war?  We can eliminate them.  Did you know we can do that with one mental stroke?

Every master, including Apollonius of Tyana — who did it in the court of Cicero, to the senate, and to Caesar himself in front of the whole senate of Rome — dropped his chains and disappeared.  It is recorded in their logs.  They don't know what happened to him.  He realized he created the entire illusion.  It was a dream.  And if he did it, then it was he who could drop the chains.  That is why he is a Christ.

 

 

The Christos is indeed the one singular movement, perfected ideal, that is the Source totally of its being.  The Christ is the ideal of the Father/Source, the essence.  The Christ is the Source in mobile form, ultimate creator.  Thus when one serves the force, one serves the creator of the force . . .

 

 
And as creation became, the great central suns were set into their orbits by the great light, the inferno of the thought, and of all that gives off your light does not give off heat and it is neither hot.  It is pure light, nothing else.  And the light that sits in your universe, your central sun, was created of this time for the sole purpose of giving forth life and by the invention of its creator who gave forth the sentinel columns of each individual God in their beginning. 

 

The five great races came into their beings, and none was less than the other.

 

 

And it occurs to me [an enlightened person says to themselves] that the reason I cannot remember, although I know I lived them — multitudinous lifetimes, although I cannot remember them I know I have lived them — and the reason I can't remember them is because I am trying to remember with a brain that was only born in this lifetime.

  

 

Now did you know when they came here, Enki and Enlil, they came here 455,000 years ago but they really got it on about 25,000 years ago.  What were they doing in that premise between now and then?  Arguing, arguing.  And do you know who settled the argument?  Their big sister settled the argument.  She settled the argument because she was the brilliant geneticist in that family of Anu.  It was the sister who settled the argument and she got down here and she started splicing genes.  Just like you are about to find in the human genome, she already knew it 455,000 years ago.  She came down here and she crossbred the semen of Enki and Enlil and Anu to her earth children.  She was the mother that created the hybrid of Cro-Magnon, which you are.
 
 

. . . the teachings in the last days are coming from the body of Christ, yes, for I know everything that this teacher was initiated in because I made a part of his agenda.  And I am coming through the body of a woman — a woman — who is the most maligned group in the world today because they are not naturally sexual creatures.

 

 

I am very honored that you pay me such homage in lieu of so many things and so many reasons why you should not.  You are a chosen people of such a great destiny, so much to evolve, to preserve, to be.
 

  

So here you are on this journey every lifetime.  And you are fulfilling this journey, as it were, and recording on your pages of life, in your divine soul, the action/reaction that creates manifested matter, manifested destiny, manifested reality.  All of your jobs, if you will, and desires are to fill this book up and evolve as humanity, lifetime after lifetime after lifetime.  And every new lifetime a new image is created.  And the image is created as a character in a play for the sake of having the opportunity to experience what you haven't experienced: the darkness, the subconscious mind, the unknown.

Know you how you can tell an entity?  Look at what they read, look at what they watch, and look at what they hang on their walls and put in their drawers.

 

 
Well, there is a wonderful star base already that has been built on the other side of your moon, entity.  And that, as it were, is from observers, entity, from beyond the northern star.
 

 

And who be Hermes in his incarnation but Jesus, our brother.  He would be, as ascribed, the architect of that which is termed the fiery form.  And Ra-Ta-Bin, as it were indeed, was also that which is termed an engineer — appropriate word — from Atlatia, and the two, as it were indeed, distinctively together to build this temple or these great and magnificent temples in that part, as it were, into the land now called Egypt, but the Nile running twenty degrees in an easterly direction than what it is running at the present time.  

That which is termed Ra-Ta-Bin, as it were indeed — being that which is termed the first Pharaoh, being that which is termed, as it were indeed, the first Christ, being that which is termed the father of the Egyptian people, as it were indeed — brought forth the first realization of Christos seen in that which is termed God/man: the temple erected, as it were indeed, to represent the power within man, for that which is termed, as it were indeed, not even this day in your time can such a temple be made with the exactness that this one has been made.  It was not until, as it were indeed, that the priests came into the lands that order began, and the advent, as it were indeed, of the sacred Pharaohs followed.

 

 

Now the entities, also of a greater and more elaborate brotherhood, came from beyond the sun.  They helped in the construction . . .

 

 

And they used zero degrees' temperature, as it were indeed, in a vacuum to create that which is termed antigravity so they were light and nimble as that which is termed a feather.  So once they were cut precisely, they were easily moved and set into place.  And they loved that which is termed the peoples that came from the sun.

The stone, as it were indeed, was cut with laser light precisely, but it is the only tool, as it were indeed, that can cut in what is called a straight line.

Now there are that which is termed some inner walls that the messages are written in living stone.  And they are already being sought and will be found, as it were, entity. But, you know, the find of this and a great "tellamen"  [archaeological artificial mound containing the remains of ancient settlements], which is the burial place of much more information, will coordinate itself with the arrival of the people back from beyond the sun.

 

 
. . . they [people that control the world] are going to give you sports, and they are going to give you famous people, and they are going to give you entertainment that you don't read one constructive thought in your day.

 

 

Now ben, ben — look at me — means begotten of.  Say the word, ben — so Yeshua ben Joseph.  So is Yeshua begotten of Yeshua or Joseph?  Joseph.  So Bin: Ra-Ta-Bin, begotten of God.

  
 

Now if Ra-Ta-Bin was the builder of the Great Pyramids at Cheops, then all the failed attempts of the ziggurats were about radical fanatics who never could get the science down.  And the science was about divine geometry — divine geometry — and that the base of the pyramid all the way down gave a great and solemn quantum mystery to whoever would see it. 

 

 

What do you have in common with Ra-Ta-Bin, the builder of the pyramid?  Because he was the quintessential hominid brought into life by the Gods.

He was brought into life by the Gods who gave him their great big yellow brain and their great, large, crowning achievement, the frontal lobe, and they split his brain.  But Ra-Ta-Bin so passionately loved his creators that in his emotion he would deny them and then at one moment accept them, just like you will do in your life.

 

 
And he said to them, "You are the fathers, you are the mothers of my life.  But I know that you are not — even in your most excellent and most respective embodiment — you are not the giver utterly of my life but simply the passer of it."

 

 

Ra-Ta-Bin.  And, remember now, he is an Egyptian priest.  He is a deep and methodical thinker.  Now many of you think that being a deep and methodical thinker means that you must object to the information that is given to you without having had any experience with it.  You simply think to object out of hand.  That is not it.  We have to evolve to the point that we are that which is out of hand.

 

 
But humanity in its nature is Ra-Ta-Bin, the Great Pyramid.

 

And they will resurrect the great Pharaohs of the past, the priest-kings, and they will have knowledge.

 

 
And this last waging with that which is termed the Lord God Jehovah, Yahweh, and the wondrous entity called Id, entity, will come to an evening [to make even, equal].  And what of you?  You will have gone into a new time, for that is how you are going to be saved.  And in that, entity, we contemplate utopia and the mind of man and the marvels of thought and of light principle and the doing away of tyrants, that the kingdom is unified again with all peoples — all peoples — for that is who the Father is.

 

 

. . . in quantum mechanics there is no solid thing, because we can't have solid and a truth from a being like me backed up with a lot of people who are struggling to defend their dreams that suggest — that suggest — that in the magical presence there is no such thing as definitive materialism.

 

 

What I represent, there is no evidence of us ever being here save what we put down into oral, to stone, to papyrus text.  And the uncovering of ancient sites as the world changes from that which is termed the hall of records in the paw of the Sphinx, that has already been found and will be made public in the next two years.  And this will record the fabulous civilizations of 455,000 years ago, and from them we are going to learn about who was gifted with knowledge that was transcendent over flesh.

 

 

. . . in the quantum world all potentials exist simultaneously.

 

 

And before the end of this your next decade to come, that which in the velocity of its perseverance, that which has accrued to itself a simple understanding will live through that which is called the eclipse of all human drama and will be coming into that which is called the crowning glory or the return of Christ.  It is the new kingdom.

 

 

The kingdom of heaven, 'tis not the reenactment of the Holy City of Jerusalem that ascends and descends from the heavens with twelve gates afire in gems, but it is a consciousness.  It is the resurrection of a knowingness within every person that glimmers like so many ascended masters that work in whole unity and sovereignty, who are free of that which is termed the limitations of space, distance, and time.

 

Unknown Places of the Earth: Ramtha and John Dee's Spiritual Diary

An Inner world is one of the esoteric subjects found in the Ramtha book A Master's Reflection on the History of Humanity Part II Rediscovering the Pearl of Ancient Wisdom (2002).  The source for Chapter II is identified as Ramtha Dialogues Tape 013.

Ramtha's teachings in this chapter includes commentary about other worlds and dimensions.  I have omitted some of Ramtha's colloquialisms ("as it were indeed") from the following excerpts from Chapter II "Life in the Center of the Earth."  Upon being asked about the 'people who live within the Earth' and their sociology, manner of governing themselves, spiritual level and religious beliefs, Ramtha said:

Their sociology, as you are speaking of indeed of these peoples as they are known and termed, is this: They have learned . . . greater than those that live outside of their sphere, to transcend that which is termed indeed the matter in force.  To transcend the matter in force, master, is to become more . . . than a limited time or space permits those of our brethren on the outside part of the shell to do.  They believe . . . most affirmly, that there is more and that each moment that is coming forth is the Now in their beings.

They see all things and enter all things and realize all things that they are pondering.  They have the ability . . . to become a part of whatever they create, thus enabling them to create a more perfect object, to be sure, for inasmuch as they have desired . . . the flight of their special and beautiful birds, they have created such aeroships by becoming a part of them.  And if the aeroship . . . moved ill at ease, they devised . . . such forms in matter to regulate their movement, as to regulate that which is called force-fields.  Thus all things that they have been able to accomplish, master, they have become accomplished in themselves.

They that live . . . within the center of your being of this place that is termed Terra . . . are of the same likeness and the same purpose and the same reality that you are, save this one thing: They have realized . . . the greatest science of their being and the greatest science of life and have purported . . . to put it into action, into purpose, into being.

Not only . . . do they have such things that are termed aeroships . . . but they have such things . . . as mobile transports, which means . . . that they can transport themselves . . . on what is called a ray of light from one area to another in but a moment of time.

Ramtha explained that this society had "escaped . . . into the inner sanctum of this place . . . It was to escape, as it were, that which is termed war and all warring machines."

And of all people that live there, there is a binding force of love that keeps them together.

 

According to Ramtha in this lecture, inner Earth beings encompass people "greenish in color because of their diet and that which is called the high content of copper in the water"; and entities that are "astonishingly tall and astonishingly small," including "dwarves," "fairies" and "elven."

Ramtha said that an 'elf' is "an immortal human, though they have the capacity for mortality . . . And they are the ones . . . that took the beginnings of their beginnings into the interior of the Earth when the outer surfaces . . . in the stratum were breaking up.  And there they found a wonderful, hollow paradise with a great ocean in the center."

Also mentioned by Ramtha as found in the transcript presented in this chapter is that there are "terrainial tunnels, they are called, or time warps, as some refer to them, that you may walk out in a moment into where your land is and in a moment be caught up into a tunnel that goes yet to another dimension." 

Ramtha said that the 'forerunners' of 'those that are within the Earth' were "the peoples beyond the sun."  These inner Earth entities "helped design . . . the ships to which they emerge through that which is termed the openings in that which is called the poles, indeed into that which is termed the seas, and indeed that which is termed the mountains."

They are . . . the remnants of civilizations that went into the Earth in the downfall of the last days, master, of continents termed, at least unto your names, Atlantis and Lemuria.

When a student asked about flying saucers, Ramtha explained that the aeroships are from three different destinations: "from the center of your Earth . . . from that which is termed indeed galaxies as they are known and seen . . . a third . . . is called interdimensional."

Individuals who have made contacts with peoples or "brothers within" of the inner world were identified by Ramtha as Byrd and then Callen, Smith, Marshall and Stevenson.

The northern lights were said by Ramtha to be "only the light of the smoky sun that is in the center of your Earth, as it were indeed, that is seen in your evening skies that is reflected inward toward outward in your Polar Regions."

In what are known as John Dee's 'spiritual diaries,' people in the ascended state of human existence were reported to have continuously communicated through Dee's scryers (mediums/describers) using a crystal globe.

The 1659 book A True & Faithful Relation of What passed for many Yeers Between Dr. John Dee (A Mathematician of Great Fame in Q. Eliz. And King James their Reignes) and Some Spirits: Tending (had it Succeeded) To a General Alteration of most STATES and KINGDOMS in the World (Internet edition) includes Dee’s description of his May 23, 1584 conversation with the one known as Nalvage.  I am using contemporary spelling and punctuation for most of the words of excerpts presented in this article. 

On April 10, 1584 while in Cracovia, Dee had written in his diary how Kelly had described the appearance of Nalvage: 

E. K.  He hath a Gown of white silk, with a Cape with three pendants with tassels on the ends of them all green: it is fur, white and seemeth to shine, with a wavering glittering.  On his head is nothing, he hath no beard.  His physiognomy is like the picture of King Edward the Sixth; his hair hangeth down a quarter of the length of the Cap, somewhat curling, yellow.  He hath a rod or wand in his hand, almost as big as my little finger: it is of Gold, and divided into three equal parts, with a brighter Gold than the rest.  He standeth upon his round table of Crystal, or rather Mother of Pearl: There appear an infinite number of letters on the same, as thick as one can stand by another.  The table is somewhat inclined on one side: he standeth in the very middle; his garment covering his feet: his breast seemeth smooth as the down remaining of a swan, when all the feathers be off, so is his neck, etc.  He is lean and long-visaged.

On May 23, 1584, when the curtain appeared at Edward Kelly's "first looking" at the crystal, Dee wrote: "There happened a great storm or temptation to E.K. of doubting and mistaking our Instructors and their doings, and of contemning or condemning any thing that I knew or could do."  Then: "At length the curtain was opened, and they appeared."  E.K. is quoted: "I am contented to see, and to make true report of what they will show; but my heart standeth against them."

 

After the angel Gabriel offered some proverbs/bon mots, E.K. described what he saw. 

 

E.K.   There appeareth a great thing like a Globe, turning upon two axel-trees.  (The earthly Globe appearing.)

 

Quoted commentary of Nalvage includes the following as described by Kelly:

. . . the Angel of the Lord appeared unto Ptolemy, and opened unto him the parts of the Earth: but some he was commanded to [keep] secret: and those are Northward under your Pole.  But unto you, the very true names of the World in her Creation are delivered.

As he conversed with Nalvage, Kelly related sights seen of exotic lands as the names of the places—some known such as Egypt and others unfamiliar—were written.  One scene was of Gosmam, one of the places "under the Pole Arctic" that featured "people going into Caves of the ground, and dwelling in Caves: they are long haired men, naked; Here appear great hills, and the veins of the Gold Mines appear: the men seem to have baskets of leather."

Dee asked about the name ‘Gosmam,’ "Is it so called, of the people of the Country?" Nalvage answered, "Even at this hour."

The startling sights that followed as described by E.K. included strange animals and peoples, among them "people very beastly, with Mantles on their shoulders," "men with swinish snouts," "people of reddish colour," and "some great Giants" with jewels in their faces and appareled in silks.

Later Kelly said: "There cometh from Heaven like a Mist, and covereth a great place, about 300 miles along, like a Park, enclosed with fire.  It is on a high ground.  There come four Rivers out of it . . ."  He asked: "In the name of Jesus: Is this the Paradise that Adam was banished out of?"  Nalvage was quoted by Kelly as saying "The very same . . ."

Dee wrote: "Till 45 degrees, both Northerly and Southerly, all is known in the most part of the world: But of any such place there is no knowledge nor likelihood by any History of these days, or of old time."  Nalvage was quoted as then saying: "Therefore this is cunning, and the wisdom of God.  There dwelleth flesh in it that shall never die, which were taken up for a testimony of Truth."

Kelly also described seeing "men with talons like Lions" and next seeing "Under the South Pole.  Here appear little men with long beards: their bodies as children's bodies."  He also was reported by Dee to have said: "Here appear people with one eye in their head, seeming to be in their breast, toward the Equinoctial."

At the end of the diary entry for this day, Kelly was quoted to have declared to Nalvage: "If you prove your self true, you shall win me to God."

The following day, Dee was told by Kelly: "That he would never more have to do with these Actions."  (This would prove to be another hasty comment.)  Kelly showed Dee a book by 'Cornelius Agrippa' to confront him with the inference that their spiritual instructors had given a description of the world taken out of other books; however, Dee remained grateful for their instructors having delivered unto them "more perfect information."

In another chapter of A Master's Reflection on the History of Humanity Part II Rediscovering the Pearl of Ancient Wisdom, Ramtha is quoted:

My comrades from whence I come, from everywhere: from wee, little entity called the fairy, to a giant Gabriel whose wings are so enormous that at a dinner table he takes up three chairs besides the one he is sitting in.  I have all sorts of friends, and they include me in it.  These are masters from their worlds and their dimensions.  That — that — is who I convene with.

CON at it again.

An intriguing news item, University of Chicago's Plan to Add 43 Hospital Beds Quashed by the State by Sam Cholke about the University of Chicago's attempt to expand its hospital. And one more of today's costs-of-regulations anectodes.

In researching "After the ACA" about supply-side restrictions in medicine and health insurance, I became aware of CON ("certificate of need") laws. Yes, to expand or build a new hospital, in many states, you need state approval, and those proceedings are predictably hijacked politically. For once, they came up with an unintentionally appropriate acronym.

I was interested in this story that not just competing hospitals, but also local activists who want U of C to lose a bundle of money on a trauma center stopped the expansion.

Protesters who want trauma center services at the university testified at the hearing in Bolingbrook and claimed credit for the decision.

According to the report, the proposed 40 private intensive care unit rooms were too large to comply with the state’s standards.

Each room was planned to have a shower and an alcove for nurses to fill out reports out of view of the patient, making the rooms 36 square feet larger than the maximum the state recommends.

Sounds nice. I didn't know the state of Illinois had a standard for the maximum permissible size of a hospital room.

The report also says the expansion of surgical beds is not necessary because the university isn’t using its existing beds.

The state requires the beds must be occupied a minimum of 88 percent of the time to meet efficiency standards and justify an expansion. In 2013, the university had patients in surgical beds 79 percent of the time,

Let's take this more generally. No restaurant should be allowed to refurbish and put in nicer tables it's at 88 percent of capacity now.

It sounds like the U of C wants to go after, as one doctor put it to me once, "Saudi Princes with interesting cancers." The model of all hospitals these days is to cross-subsidize care that doesn't pay for itself with patients like these. Except the golden-egg hunters want the egg before raising the goose.

As usual, the issue is not what should be done but who gets to decide. Should the U of C build bigger nicer hospital beds? Should it run a trauma center? Good questions -- but why is this anyone but the U of C's business?

Hilariously, this all started as a "cost control" measure, forgetting that in economics, costs go down when you let supply curves move to the right.

Ramtha in Los Angeles 2006



On Saturday, May 20, 2006 while driving to the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel where Ramtha—in control of the body of his 'channeler' JZ Knight—would speak in the Hollywood Ballroom, I found myself experiencing what I would later realize to be a synchronicity incident.  I spotted a personalized license plate that said "BONMOTS" and would discover that this was an apt description of an aspect of Ramtha's unusual teaching manner.

 

When I'd witnessed Kevin Ryerson channel three different entities at the Philosophical Research Society in 1998, seeing his facial expressions when he first went into trance had been fascinating.  Although I don't remember having heard any 'bon mots,' I noticed that the beings who spoke through Ryerson at times sometimes referred to themselves with the pronoun 'we.'  Now, eight years later, here was another opportunity to witness channeling; however, on this occasion there was no display of the process leading into a trance or out-of-body state for the mentality of the channeler.  (An example of channeler 'John of God' 'incorporating the entity' is offered in this video.)

The ticket for Ramtha's Hollywood lecture cost $150 and the event began an hour late.  That was when Ramtha in control of JZ Knight's body received enthusiastic applause and a standing ovation upon entering the ballroom.  I remained seated as I still didn't know what to think about it all.

In the books I'd read about Ramtha, he was recounted to modestly address each student as 'master.'  Many of those present seemed elated to see (or see again) in person the enigma and phenomenon that is Ramtha.  I appreciate tape recording this type of event as it's difficult to reflect upon spoken sentiments when uttered in quick progression.

The lecture had been scheduled to last four hours but not only did it start late, it would end an hour early.  Obviously, Ramtha doesn't strictly conform to schedules as is readily understandable; however, there was an impressive amount of apparently extemporaneous information presented in two hours.  I estimated the audience to be around 350 people while a satellite feed was also available via the Internet for $50. 

Following the standing ovation, Ramtha spoke: "Greetings and salutations, you beauteous entities, indeed welcome to this esteemed audience."  He repeated the phrase several times with slight variations and then said, "Indeed I am honored to have you here.  Let us have a drink to life.  We change the water that it become the living proclamation to which we say.  And then we drink it into the body and the body is given life truly."

Ramtha then recited a prayer with most in the audience repeating each sentence that he said, beginning with: "Oh my beloved God . . . of this day . . . I celebrate my beautiful life . . ."; and concluding with: ". . . and all that I learn this day . . . I accept its manifestation . . . truly into my life . . . and that through the experience . . . I may live . . . for two hundred years . . . without death . . . from the lord god of my being . . . so be that."  After the toast "To Life!," Ramtha told those standing "You may be seated" and they sat down. 

There followed a three minute period of silence when Ramtha slowly scanned the audience, person by person and processing psychic information, evidently.  Did Ramtha stare in my direction for what seemed a comparatively long interlude or did it just seem that way?  Ramtha then spoke again: "I am Ramtha the Enlightened One, servant under God, under the Christ and unto you.  For you be both those divine beings.  So this day in your time I am honored to be a part of this august body and for this short time in your time to impart to your life meaningful change, to make wonder happen, and to evolve you."  He added wryly: "An easy task."

As Ramtha continued speaking, I decided that the voice was unusual.  It wasn't what I would describe as being a deep voice as a female might evoke to imitate a male.  Having attended a lecture by JZ Knight earlier in the year, the personality and sensibility was entirely different. 

Ramtha said: "I am not in this body.  I am using this body for you have witnessed the great teachings of the channel a day before in your time and you will have gotten close to her but now you are only seeing its body and its body is being worked from the back of the head.  I am actually up here so why the deception or wonder?  One might ask you the same thing."  Then was heard "Yeah" in Ramtha's voice with such a strange cadence that it gave me pause and there were several moments like this during the lecture.

On the surface, some of what I heard seemed like what possibly could be considered unusually wry spiritual philosophizing.  At times statements were followed with a comment that would allow the listener to understand the philosophical context, such as:  "God is amoral.  It is the creative life.  It's sublime Presence transcends the description of mere mortal but it is the substantialness of mortalness . . ." 

While talking about woman as being "the most prejudiced [against] group there ever was," Ramtha said: "And right now three women in what you consider the motherland of religion were burned to death today by their husbands because their dowry ran out.  And the man shan't be punished for his evil deed.  He will simply find another wife with a bigger dowry."

Human evolution and the suppression of knowledge were other topics.

". . . every human being will be asked to come to a point of regal justice in their thinking.  And you will think, 'Ah, it is because we have polluted the air.  It is because we are destroying the Earth.'  That's true.  But no, you are unequal and because of that you can never find the center."


"The knowledge that you will learn this day and that you have known to this day will survive to a new world and a new time.  A new time.  And that new time is about then that which is termed the celebration of the individual and that God lives not in a piece of real estate called heaven but within the most beautiful temple ever made — the human body." 

  

There would be abrupt changes of topic.  The day before the lecture, the movie "The Da Vinci Code" had opened in America.

"Yeshua ben Joseph had a twin.  His name was Thomas.  To those of us, that is well-known.  That he was trained — that his soul was comprised of thirteen masters is also known.  And that those thirteen masters contributed as thirteen teachers taught to their greatest accomplishment and taught them and then engaged them, as hierophants do, to make them live the teaching they were taught . . ."

Ramtha related that "initiation" was involved in the life of the man whom many know by the name Jesus — "And so Yeshua ben Joseph the Christ — a Christ — was initiated by thirteen teachers — soul was comprised of them.  And so was his brother Thomas, his twin, which gets confusing in the old book.  Long gone."

From this topic, Ramtha addressed the subject of DNA.  However one engages life and the outcome to emotion was stated to determine one's semen or eggs, changing one's DNA and gift to the future.  Ramtha continued: "If you are a man of fantasy who lives in his first seal, then you have damned your children because they will be children caught in the flesh.  If you're a man who contemplates nature, then you will have given rise in the next generation to scientists, botanists, but in a venue of mind which supersedes this one.  And that will be the incarnated entity who will come into your world."

About Yeshua's twin brother, Ramtha said that he "laid with women openly" and "drank wine heavily.  And in the end his greatest initiation was to survive death.  It was the last of the teaching."

The Doer was the mystery.  And that mystery is called Divine Being.  The observer, the god in you.  And so when clearly observed in an act of beauty, in an act of initiation, it was not the personality, the body, like we wear that did the phenomenal work.  It was the leadership within it that wore the body.  And so they celebrate it by saying it is the I Am of the I Am that has created this.

There were many brief hiatuses in the lecture where partners in the audience could explain to one another what they had just heard if they wanted.  JZ Knight had incorporated this procedure into her own lectures as I had observed on January 31.  After the hiatus that followed the commentary on Yeshua ben Joseph, Ramtha stated: "So the wave of knowledge that comes from the future has come in a form of entertainment . . . The same gods that the world worships — things they see in reality — motions of pictures are realities akin to the visions in the brain and watching them played out and living vicariously through them indeed.  And comes the story of these twin brothers and their great accomplishment."

I, myself, had noticed the commonality of visionary experiences among cases of psychic phenomena and transcendental communication so at the time of this lecture I intended to call a planned biographical book about my spiritual awakening and metaphysical research Hollyweird; however, I soon selected the more suitable title of My Unexpected Path of Spiritual Discovery.  Terms used by Ramtha included all manner of subjects, including the expression "test tube babies."

"And the truth of this teaching has emerged.  To great hatred.  To great celebration.  The quandary — is it real, is it not real?  Well I'm here and I'm pretty real . . ."

"I am by science a phenomenon, an oddity, a power, without a Social Security number."

"So I am here to tell everyone 'Behold God' and to start the great and slow and tedious work of teaching entities that they are divine."

"And for thousands of years you may not have done anything but been incarnated cannon fodder for all those principalities, for all those warring regions, for all those religions.  And poor little entity gathering up their little children and what foodstuffs to move out of the way of war because they know their children are going to die for a dispute."

"And when we wake up, what are we when we understand that we are greater than the sum total of our body.  What do we become — quintessential mind.  And when we become quintessential mind, indeed we are God man realized — thus the name Christos: 'to know.'  Christ.  God woman realized.  Christos: 'to know.'"

"To say that one is god begins the awakening and the learning.  And that is what I do.  And not that anything that I said is ever the truth.  There's nothing I ever said was the truth.  It only becomes the truth when we initiate you into what I said, into what you said.  And that the experience of that philosophy manifested in your life — that you experience in your importance, then it is a truth.  So the great work is taking this knowledge into a practicality of life because life is a gift and learning to live it at higher tempos of frequency, higher visions and concepts of thought, and to manifest it in the world to the startling reality of the unawakened around you who begin to wake up."

"So what are we doing?  We are replicating Christ's teachings.  But he wasn't the first.  He didn't make these the first.  He's simply the realization of what always was."

After a hiatus when the excited chatter approached the level of a roar in the ballroom, Ramtha called for quiet and began speaking again.  "So in the great work are you filled with the notion to run out there and bring peace to the world?  No, don't do that ever.  You will become cannon fodder and crushed politically." 

It wouldn't be until reading other books presenting transcripts of Ramtha's lectures that I would recognize the prominence of the utilization of contradiction as a teaching tool.  He said about cynicism: "Cynicism outside of your familiar ground will destroy you for you are incapable of doing marvelous things that change their mind."

"It starts with you.  You change.  And your reality changes.  And when you do and your mind becomes developed and it gets bigger and bigger.  And you do marvelous things."

"So then the world becomes saved, as it were, christ by christ by christ by christ by christ . . ."

Here is one of Ramtha's proverbs —

"The need to be right is only the opposite of being wrong.  Needing to be right means you're already wrong."

Around ninety minutes after beginning the lecture, Ramtha began coughing (a physical limitation for a visitor from the ascended realm is a lesson in itself).  After a hiatus, Ramtha said one of his often-stated pronouncements: ". . . I will send you runners.  I will manifest reality for you."  During another suddenly ensuing hiatus, I considered about the possible rationale for these pronouncements being made by Ramtha without specifying more precisely that the omnipresent God and Christ Consciousness would be the Source making possible the sending of those 'runners.'  Testing was mentioned:

"And then when you'll know it [receiving one of Ramtha's 'runners'] has been crafted for you is when you have a smile on your face and the test will be over.  And the next one will come.  A little tiny adversity for a big smile.  So be that.  So at the end does anyone ever quit school or stop learning?  Always.  Always.  Because learning to be great can be a tedious thing to someone who has been a victim.  Learning to be remarkable means you have to stop what you would always do and do this instead."

Other clues included Ramtha saying "There's no number to the beings that contribute to the mind of God" and "Gravitons are simply particles of will."

After Ramtha began coughing again, he made the comment, "Tired mouth" and gargled with water, prompting some nervous laughter among the audience.  The predicament indicated that Ramtha could experience human discomforts while controlling Knight's body.  Something I noticed that day was that Knight's body was moving in a very fluid way.

Ramtha mentioned what students at his school were learning, including to "biolocate" and "become invisible."  "And those who do the great work become the great wizards.  They become the great masters."

One of Ramtha's closing remarks was "I'll be seeing you soon in those runners I will send you straightaway."

Event attendees received a folder with information about Ramtha's School of Enlightenment: "An Introduction to Ramtha, His School, and JZ Knight."  Along with a DVD there were brochures entitled "Ramtha The Enlightened One," "Scientific Research on Ramtha" and "Ramtha's Model of Science."  Much of this information may be read at ramtha.com.  The DVD presents a short documentary about "Ramtha's School: A Look Within."  Students are shown involved in what might be considered 'disciplines' or 'exercises' where they are blindfolded.  What is called 'field work with cards' is where students attempt to find a card they drew that someone else attached facedown on a fence bordering a large field.  There is also blindfolded archery; and 'the labyrinth,' a maze where the students seek to find their way to the center.  The DVD also presented "Cracking the Code to the Extraordinary," a montage of video clips of JZ Knight and a clip of a Ramtha invocation.  In a third brief video clip, Ramtha is shown speaking about the expression "Create your day."

After the conclusion of Ramtha's lecture, I left the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel and found it ironic that across the street from the front of the hotel was a huge billboard for the movie "An American Haunting" starring Donald Sutherland and Sissy Spacek.  This was a fictionalized commercial movie adaptation of the Bell Witch 'talking poltergeist' case. 

It also seemed ironic to me that my brother Mike was currently at the same time in another part of the world.  He was at the Cannes Film Festival for two weeks overseeing the distribution to celebrities of pens costing $1,618 to promote a "The Da Vinci Code" movie tie-in 'Divine Proportion' (0.618) writing instrument from luxury pen maker Visconti.
 
Looking at the folder of information about Ramtha's School of Enlightenment, I am reminded that for more than seven years (1987-1995) I had been employed to create news releases and press kits that informed television, newspaper, magazine and radio publicity outlets about a succession of more than 100 Paramount Pictures movie releases.  In 1995 after my own initiation into Christ Consciousness as chronicled in the nonfiction case study Testament (1997), I left behind my entertainment industry career to dedicate myself to sharing my experiences and expanding the spiritual awareness of others.  My personal analytical approach to metaphysical subjects encourages readers to consider and reflect about the basis for their own beliefs.
